Poor Decision Costs Kippax

Kippax 16 vs 18 Sharlston

27/03/10

Kippax were dealt a cruel blow by the referee in this match against top of the table Sharlston, in their penultimate home game.

The game was balanced at 16 points each with just 2 minutes to go as Sharlston forwards drove to the sticks, clearly trying to work the position for a drop goal.  As they played the ball the referee ruled that home scrum half Gavin Adkin had not had both feet behind the line prior to racing out and charging down the drop goal attempt by the Sharlston stand off.  Sharlston kicked the resulting penalty from in front of the posts for the win which was both cruel and harsh on the Kippax team.

Kippax back to winning ways with a smile

Stanley Wildcats v Kippax 28-03-10

A penalty in first 5 minutes get Kippax 2 point on the score board.

Both teams show good defence as each defended their lines well. A break and 70 meter dash from Mitchell and a try under the sticks made for an easy conversion putting the score to 8 nil at half time.

Under 12's European Clash of Titans

A tough test awaits Kippax Under 12's as there scheduled to take on Paris Selection XIII Under 12's on the 29th May 3.30pm kick off at the Stade du Cosec in Paris.

With the eargerly awaited Tour De France for Kippax Under 12's only 5 weeks away it was confirmed today that their opponents will be Paris Selection XIII Under 12's which will be made up of top local talent from the northern regions of France.

The preperations both on and off the field over the coming weeks will all be geared towards this one off European Clash of the Titans and I am sure the boys will do both Club and Country proud.
