KippaxARLFCKippax Welfare 30 v 6 Shaw Cross Sharks 31st Oct 2009

With no league fixture Kippax hosted Shaw Cross in a friendly.

After an evenly matched opening Kippax took the lead when centre Max powered his way through the Sharks defence to put them 4-0 up, only to quickly fall behind as the Sharks hit back with a converted try. Hooker Wes then forced his way over under the sticks and with loose forward Liam adding the extras Kippax had a 10-6 lead. A superb interception on halfway after he had come in field saw winger Mossa cross under the posts and another Liam conversion made it 16-6 at half time.

Kippax sewed the match up early in the second half with Mossa on the end of a flowing move for his second try and a 20-6 lead. Prop James then crashed through close in to end another good move and Liam once more added the conversion to take the score to 26-6. The final score came as Liam rounded off a good performance with a try and the final score moved to 30-6. Jordan, Tom and Adam  tackled well in the middle whilst James Bar, Sam and Luke held their own out wide. Fullback Ben  dealt with the high ball well, Russell and Azza made some crucial tackles and Harrison, George and Thomas all made good ground going forward.

Kippax have achieved clubmark!
