Thornhill Trojans v Kippax Welfare Thursday 20th May

Kippax headed to Dewsbury on Thursday night to take on Thornhill Trojans in a curtain raiser to the televised Dewsbury Rams v Sheffield Eagles match

Despite the early evening kick off conditions were very warm but in spite of that both sides laid on a super display with strong tackling and some enterprising attack which drew appreciation from the crowd. Kippax opened the scoring when strong runs from Liam and Charlotte laid a platform for Harry to cross in the corner and followed up soon after as Takudzwa showed a great turn off foot to score for Kippax. Kippax were solid in defence with Adam and Alfie making some crucial tackles as the Trojans tried to find a way through and there were several try saving tackles made. The final score came on the back of good ground made by Alex and Ben put Josh in a position to go round the defence for a well worked try and seal a great show by the team.
