Paris Charenton 8 v 32 Kippax Welfare U12's 29th May 2010

Having already played for 60 minutes non stop Kippax saved their best 'til last with a six try rout of Charenton.

Kippax made an excellent start with Russ darting through a gap in the Paris line and grounding beneath the posts leaving Liam an easy two pointer. Jack then took his chance well as he rounded the winger and shook off the fullback to extend the lead to 10 points. Charenton had little to offer going forward with James, Azza and George standing firm in the middle and Tom and Ben mopping up at the back. A brilliant piece of quick thinking then saw Liam dive in from marker and ground the ball over the Paris line, after strong tackling from Adam and Harrison had pinned the French back, with an easy conversion allowing hime to take the score to 16-0. A break from Sam and a drive from Thomas then allowed James to get close enough to snake out an arm in the tackle for the fourth try. A well taken kick in blustery conditions resulted in Liam nudging the half time score to 22-0.

Charenton threatened early in the second stanza but James Bar and Luke quickly snuffed out the danger and a Kippax counter attack saw Ben break free wide right and scoot down the touchline and over the whitewash. A fourth successful kick from Liam extended the lead to 28 points before the Parisians finally managed to unleash their lightening fast winger for their opening try. Kippax continued to press and Harry, Harrison and Max all made good ground going forward and both Mosa and James Bar were unlucky not to score. William and Jordan made a couple of crucial tackles which snuffed out danger and when the winger was released once more he didn't get very far. James flung out an arm which stopped him dead in his tracks as he crumpled to the ground on the back of a high tackle James headed for the sin bin. With a man advantage Charenton crossed for the second time before Kippax had the final say when Russ and Sam combined to put George over in the corner.
