Kippax Welfare U9's v New Earswick U9's 20th June 2010

Kippax played host to their visitors from York having lost narrowly in the away fixture.

Kippax were slowly out of the blocks and strong running from New Earswick saw them soon get the upper hand. They eventually got into gear and managed to score three first half try's, two from Takudzwa and one from Harry, but went in at half time trailing by three.

Following a half time pep talk they stepped up considerably in the second stanza with Alex and Charlotte laying a good platform for the backs. Man of the Match runner Up Nathan organised the runners well and Coaches Merit winner Josh and Most Improved Adam also made good ground going forward. Harry notched another two try's to take his tally to three and Takudwza crossed another three times to finish with five. Zak topped the tackle count and also ran the ball in well to take Man of the Match but despite outscoring New Earswick in the second half they couldn't quiet turn the game around.
